When Good Investments Go Bad
Have you ever invested in something and it not turn out like you anticipated? The sour taste makes you uneasy, and it becomes hard to swallow.

I invested in something, had faith for it, had pure motives for it, and it did nothing but backfire. And then I sat there, puzzled about it, trying to figure out where it all went wrong. I was flabbergasted. I know I can't be alone in this.

So what happens when everything is right but it all goes wrong? Makes me wonder. However, the emergence of a silver lining is clear.

The only thing out of place in this equation is the something. I try hard not to lie about the motives and the faith. With those two as false statements the solution is no solution. But when they're true the only variable left is the something.

It's not impossible to invest in the wrong something with the right reasons. And that's what I did.

By very nature of the word, investment implies expectancy.
So what do you expect when you invest?

The possibilities of where to invest and how to invest are endless.

But who better to invest in than the maker of our universe?

God speaks; even through an iPod.
I must admit, I just spent like three hours importing "The Bible Experience: New Testament" into my iTunes. I'm really tired, and my neck is killing me but it was entirely worth it.

Have you really understood what this means? No, for real, have you?

Do you know what it is to have the WORD OF GOD coming out of your iPod? (Well, right now it's only the New Testament, soon it'll be the entire Bible, when it comes out). No, but really, it's a little overwhelming and too hard to fathom. The word of everlasting life coming out of an apple device. Who would of that?

Wanna know what the coolest part of this entire project was?
Now, when I go to "Artist" in my iPod, the Creator of the Universe is there, you know, the Maker. That one word, with three letters, that means everything.

God.

Jeremiah 1:5
"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations."-Jeremiah 1:5

Wow. I honestly don't know what to say. I've been meditating on this scripture the entire week and it speaks directly to my heart. To know that for every single day of my life, God has been not only watching but present, makes me long to be in his presence. And then, the fact that we are CHOSEN, that he set us apart. All I can do to show gratitude is to serve my God with everything I have, give him every part of me, give him all of me.
